How would I know which shapewear is best for me?

The best shapewear for you depends on your goals and body needs.

  • Waist trainers & waist wraps are ideal for waist training, posture support, and shaping the midsection.
  • Fajas (Stage 1, 2, or 3) are designed for post-surgical recovery, compression, and body contouring.
  • Panty and seamless body shapers are great for everyday smoothing under clothing.
  • Post-operative garments (bras, sleeves, boards, foams) are best suited for recovery support after surgery.

How do I determine my size?

Sizing is based on accurate body measurements, not clothing size.

We recommend measuring:

  • Underbust
  • Natural waist
  • Hip area
  • Torso length (for long or short torso products)

Always follow the size chart provided on each product page. If your measurements fall between sizes, sizing up is usually recommended for comfort.

Do you offer long and short torso options?

Yes. We offer both long torso and short torso options on selected waist trainers to ensure the best fit and comfort.

Do you offer alternations?

Yes, we do offer alterations.

How can I cancel my order?

Orders can only be cancelled if they have not yet been processed or shipped.

Please email shapemyway@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

FAQS - WEAR & MAINTENANCE

How do I wash or clean my shapewear?

To extend the life of your shapewear:

  • Hand wash only in cold water
  • Use mild soap or detergent
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not machine wash or dry
  • Air dry only, away from heat

Proper care helps maintain compression and fabric integrity.

How do I put on the shapewear?

Shapewear is designed to fit snugly and may take time to put on, especially high-compression garments.

  • Step into or pull the garment up gradually
  • Fasten from the bottom upward (hooks, zippers, or straps)
  • Avoid pulling aggressively on the fabric

First-time wear may feel tight, which is normal.

What do I do if the shapewear feels too tight?

Shapewear is meant to be snug, but it should not cause pain or restrict breathing.

  • If it feels extremely tight, do not force it
  • Ensure you selected the correct size using the size chart
  • Contact us for guidance before wearing

Wearing a garment that is too small can cause discomfort and damage the product.

How much does shipping cost?

Trinidad & Tobago: Delivery costs range from $40–$70 TTD, depending on location and selected option.

FAQS - DELIVERY, REFUNDS & RETURNS

What is the return policy?

We have a two (2) calendar-day return policy, starting from the date your package is marked as delivered.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Item must be unworn (beyond initial try-on), unused, unaltered, and unwashed
  • Tags must be attached
  • Original packaging must be returned in good condition
  • Clean underwear must be worn when trying on
  • No white deodorant, perfumes, or scents may be used

Important:

If the original packaging is damaged or missing, the return will be denied.

Return Denials

If a return is denied:

  • A 20% fee will apply (25% for items under $100) plus shipping
  • The item will be returned to you
  • If fees are not paid, no refund will be issued and the product will not be returned

Sale items and gift cards are not eligible for return.

Do you accept refunds?

Yes, refunds are accepted under our return policy.

  • All prices and refunds are in Trinidad & Tobago Dollars (TTD)
  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days, minus the cleaning and restocking fee

    20% fee for items over $100

    25% fee for items under $100

For a refund to be approved, the item must:

  • Be free of stains, marks, fluids, deodorant, or perfume
  • Be unworn (beyond initial try-on) and unwashed
  • Have tags attached
  • Be returned in original packaging and mailer
  • Include all accessories

Return requests must be submitted within two (2) calendar days of delivery and shipped back within the same period.

If delays on our end cause you to miss the window, your return will still be accepted with proper communication.

No refunds on gift cards.

When can I expect delivery?

Delivery within Trinidad and Tobago typically takes 1–3 business days after processing.
