The purpose of a shapewear is to compress your body so discomfort due to tightness is normal during the initial wears (the 3-4 day break-in period).
All compression garments loosen up over time and alterations may be required to regain a high compression feel.

Wash after 3-4 wears or after *heavy* sweating, if you have sensitive skin, wash every two days
